Admission to the Cohort Continues!

West Virginia and Virginia librarians and those interested in librarianship should consider the University of South Carolina School of Library and Information Science MLIS program. Additional students can enter the online cohort that began this fall. The cohort offers in-state tuition, all courses via digital technologies, no campus visits, 4 onsites in your state during the entire program (and one of those is a graduation ceremony that we bring to you!), and opportunities for networking and developing peer support.
If this is what you have been looking for, try 5 things:
1. Go to http://www.libsci.sc.edu/. That is our school's webpage where you will click on For Future Students to find information about the school, the program, and the admissions procedure.
2. Join the listserv for those who want to begin classes January 2008. Periodically, I will send out updated information. Additionally, it is a place where you can communicate among yourselves: COHORT2008@LISTSERV.SC.EDU.
3. Continue to visit this blog. I will continue to post.
4. Email me with your questions: wallybug@bellsouth.net or vwallace@sc.edu.
5. Call me at 803-777-8894. If I am not in my office, leave a number where I can reach you.
IMPORTANT DEADLINE INFORMATION: You must complete the admissions packet by December 1. Now is the time to start. You can complete the application online. I recommend that you send the online registration fee when you complete your entry. The Graduate School will set up a file in your name and as pieces of the admissions packet arrive, they will go into your personal file.
