Value of the Listserv

To those of you considering the USC School of Library and Information Science MLIS and to those of you working on your admission packet, I want to encourage membership in the listserv that I maintain for prospective students.
1. In your email, for TO, put LISTSERV@LISTSERV.SC.EDU.
2. For the SUBJECT, put nothing.
3. For the BODY, put SUBSCRIBE COHORT2008 firstname lastname.

The DEADLINE DATE for application packets for spring 2009 is November 1. The first and most important step is to pay the online application fee of $40.00. The Graduate School will prepare a file on you and each item of the packet that comes in will have a place to go!

It takes a number of weeks for the application packet review; therefore, the onsite orientation at Waynesboro High School is set for Saturday, December 6. The sooner you get your application packet in the better in order to be admitted and receive the letter re the orientation.

I look forward to meeting a new group of students who will become part of the WVVA Cohort, which presently has 85 in the program.
